Understanding Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease – on location presentation by request

The AGEC offers informational programs about understanding Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease for community awareness and knowledge. These programs can be requested based on your organizations needs (30 minutes, 1 or 2 hours in length) at  your location.  We ask requests will serve at least 25 attendees. The AGEC will help promote and market these programs for your event. Contact Us for more information

Family Caregiver Workshop – Dementia
Four- to eight-hour workshops available to the public statewide, instructed by a UAMS Educator. The workshop will present an overview of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and provide caregiving tips that contribute to maintaining respect, dignity, and quality of life for the person living with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. For requests, contact by agec@uams.edu 

Community Awareness: Alzheimer’s Experience: Take a Walk in Their Shoes
The experience consists of 5-10 minute per-person tours. This can be requested as a special event on-location for large groups, including communities of faith and employees at senior living centers and medical facilities in Arkansas. contact us by agec@uams.edu
