Alzheimer’s & Other Dementia Education Programs

There a a variety of Alzheimer’s Edcuation programs for health professionals and paraprofessionals including:

  • Free 8 HR CE Alzheimer’s/Dementia Care Seminar (this program is available throughout the year (on location) by request for groups of 25 of more)
  • Free First Responder Dementia Training (3 hours) by on location to fire fighters, police department (state, county and city), EMTs, and volunteer first responders including disaster relief organizations
  • Free Alzheimer’s/Dementia Experience: Take a Walk in Their Shoes – appropriate for all individiuals that are “customer facing” to persons with Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementias (available on location and by request for half/full days for large groups including communities of faith, medical facilities and nursing homes)
  • Free Family Caregiver Workshop focused on Dementia caregiving:  This 3 to 6 hour workshop will present an overview of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and provide caregiving tips that contribute to maintaining respects, dignity, and quality of life for the person living with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.  These 3 to 4 hour workshops are available to the public.
