Arkansas State Police

As administrators of the Arkansas Silver Alert program, it is critical that Arkansas State Police officers are well-versed in Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. People with dementia are more likely to get lost or be victims of crime and abuse. Police officers who complete the Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Seminar will have a better understanding of behaviors common among people with dementia, which will improve outcomes for missing persons and help keep older adults safe from crime.

In addition, State Police officers will be equipped with the knowledge to help them respond to emergency calls involving someone with dementia. Click the course link for First Responder Dementia Training to take our online training.
